The longest river in Sarawak is Rajang River. The river begins in the heart of Borneo and empties its contents into the South China Sea.Along the river banks are found small communities which are very much associated with the river. Some communities live in long houses, which can be seen clearly as one travels along the river by boats.
Traveling from Sibu to the upper part of the river can be fascinating. At the dawn or dusk, the reflection of the glowing sky on the water surface can provide eye-catching scenery.
