Ageratum conyzoides

Ageratum conyzoides is small herbaceous weed belonging to the family Asteraceae (Compositae). It is a herbaceous weed of less than one meter high. Leaves are ovate, and flowers are composite, the base petals are whitish but the tips are purplish.

In the field the plant often shows yellowish or yellowish mottle or vein banding discoloration, which is the symptom of germini virus infection.

The plant is smelly, and its extract has been shown to have biological activities
