Cananga

Cananga sp. (Order: Magnoliales; Family: Annonaceae)is a tree plant found in the tropics. Locally in Malaysia the plant is known as kenanga. The common one is Cananga odorata , which can reach as high as 6 meters tall. The flower is yellow and has a distinctive fragrance. It is called "odorata" may be because of its fragrance, particularly at night. Cananga fruticosa is said to be a dwarf variety. It has also been called as Cananga odorata var. Fruticosa.
