"Asin-asin" is a leaf vegitable quite commonly forming a dish on a Malaysian lunch or dinner tables. The scientific name of the plant is Sauropus androgynus (Family Phyllanthaceae formaly Euphorbiaceae) is also known in Malay as "cekur manis". Other names include star sooseberry and sweet leaf.The leaves are dark green,oval in shape and arranged along a long rachis. The flowers are reddish and the fruits are whitish and are arranged on the underside of the rachis.
