Millettia atropurpurea

Millettia atropurpurea (Fabaceae;Leguminosae) is locallay called Tulang daing. The plant has been used as timber species, but can give a good appearance for landscape beautification effort. The plant architecture is symmetrical with the the widest canopy at approximately at the middle. The leaves are deep green while the flowers are purple in color. The fruits are pods with two seeds per pod. The plants shown here are taken at the beautiful UNIMAS campus in Sarawak.
