Strophanthus preussii

Strophanthus preussii is a shrub which has wide distribution in Tropical and subtropical regions. It is one of the 30-40 species of the genus >Strophanthus, which is commonly believed to be native to tropical Africa. The common name of this plant is poison arrow.

The plnnt is characterised by profuse flowering and the presence of long brownish fillments that extend downward from the corolla of the flowers.

The plant has phamaceatical significance.
