Berastagi is a small town in North Sumatra, Indonesia. To reach there, we have to travel uncomfortably along a narrow and winding road uphill from Medan. When we reach the summit of the hill we can look down to see the town.... a beautiful sight.

Berastagi is cool and this weather is suitable for planting flowers and vegetables that can grow at cooler temperatures. It is more like Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. But in term of development it needs a lot more work, capital and promotional activities in order to catch up with Cameron Highlands or other well known places in Sumatra and Indonesia as a whole.
