Origanum vulgare



Origanum vulgare is a common herb, which is used in the preparation of pizza topping and other Italian food.  The genus Origanum have several species and belongs to the plant Family Lamiaceae.  The plant is said tohave originated from western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean regions,

It can be easily grown by cutting.  The shoots are cut off and cultivated in a pot with frequent watering. In the tropics some sort of shading is needed for vigorous growth.
